With the 2025 WhatHouse? Awards just around the corner, Rory Wilkinson, digital editor of Show House, sat down with Teresa Arbuckle, regional managing director UK & Ireland of Beko Europe, to find out more about Beko Appliance Partners and what drew them to get involved with the event.
Tell us a little about Beko Appliance Partners and your role at the company:
As managing director of Beko UK & Ireland, I lead an organisation that is now stronger than ever before. Through Beko Appliance Partners, we bring together four of the UK’s leading appliance brands, Whirlpool, Hotpoint, Beko and Indesit, under one roof. This creates a single, dependable partner for housebuilders, offering choice, flexibility and confidence at every stage of a project. My role is to ensure that we continue to deliver the right mix of products and support to meet the evolving needs of developers and their customers.
What role does Beko Appliance Partners play in the housebuilding industry and how does it support developers?
Developers face complex challenges, from tighter sustainability standards to higher expectations from buyers. Our job is to make specifying appliances easier. We provide a dedicated team that supports projects from planning through to installation and aftercare, backed by the UK’s largest appliance service network of over 1,000 engineers covering 99% of the country. With four brands, each with its own strengths, we help developers tailor the right solution for every type of scheme, whether it’s premium private homes, large-scale rental, or affordable housing.

They’re hugely important because they showcase the best of UK housebuilding; the ambition, innovation and resilience it takes to deliver homes of all shapes and sizes in communities across the UK. They also help highlight the value of trusted partnerships across the supply chain. At a time when the industry faces significant pressures, celebrating what’s possible when we work together is more vital than ever.
What is your favourite part of attending the WhatHouse? Awards?
For me, it’s the sense of pride in the room. The Awards bring together the full spectrum of our industry and it’s always inspiring to see the talent and creativity on show. It’s also a chance to connect with our partners, share experiences, and celebrate the projects that make a real difference.
What does the future hold for Beko Appliance Partners and how does sponsoring the Awards support that?
Looking ahead, we’re focused on giving developers more choice, more support and more confidence. That means continued innovation across our brands, from Whirlpool’s connected 6TH SENSE technology to Hotpoint’s trusted family-focused products, Beko’s award-winning energy-efficient appliances, and Indesit’s easy-to-use, dependable solutions. Sustainability is also central to our future, with Beko recently ranked number one in our industry on TIME’s list of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies. Sponsoring the Awards is a natural fit because it underlines our long-term commitment – supporting developers to deliver homes that are reliable, sustainable and ready for the future.
